Open Letter to Greek Gianluigi
Henry group has sent an open letter in response to exchange of letters which we have given an account a couple of days ago . This is the text that the researcher, Alberto Di Renzo, sent via e-mail: Dear
Gianluigi,
I write to you directly (but I give the public the message) come Ricercatore, null'altro, per esprimerti alcune considerazioni personali.
In sostanza, tu dici (i) che la tua conversione dal no al si è nata in nome del tuo pragmatismo, (ii) che l'assemblea dei ricercatori is not sufficiently representative to have the right to "mistrust" and (iii) which, however, you would like to discuss with fellow researchers in the substance of the questions on the status, going beyond the mechanism that led you in your position.
find the point at anything but enlightening and convincing, but that's not why I write. There would also be more, but I think the instrument unsuitable for the email.
The second point I would like particularly. Compels me to point out that perhaps those who are striving and committed, stealing time and resources to other commitments, to hold meetings, discuss, debate and discuss issues of interest to the class or to defend any cause (They enjoy, among other things, even those who do not move a finger) deserves far more respect than just changing the classification to "you're four cats." The members of the "rose" of candidates to be part of the committee were in fact born (he was really a labor) after several meetings and participate more or less (for example, you cite the names from Engineering, appointed by an assembly of faculty unanimously - about 50 people out of 103 - before, and confirmed by the university - there were there - then). These applications have culminated in the squad to which you have participated in the assembly, even after much debate there, names that were added and then withdrawn so on. etc..
add that the same researchers of the Assembly have submitted a petition calling for the utmost transparency and democracy in such a sensitive time, which was signed by 250 researchers. Finally we point out that there are no other public meetings with colleagues, other researchers Unical assemblies (not other bands, except for recent exceptions). All those who keep alive the attention, now, are there.
At this contrasts with the sudden appearance of your application and appointment, unacceptable mockery of valid applications received under the pink (some of which are very similar to your "area", so it hardly set in a drawing to reconcile balances) .
Cito, ad esempio, che i rappresentanti category of Board received a formal request to resign, mainly because of your appointment, resulting in irreparable rift between those who seek to internal thinking on the role of researchers at the university and their representation in decision-making.
At this point, despite your admirable willingness to participate in discussions and public discussions can not happen in your capacity as Commissioner appointed from outside. Under these conditions, you will understand that it is unacceptable to confront and accept to be represented in the Commission by a person whose role began in opposition and that is likely to further destroy what is being painstakingly brought forward by the Assembly. During the last
meeting it was noted that you were made available to join the working group that would carry out the statute and then I really believe that you are sincerely motivated by a constructive spirit. However, just as long as it lacks the legitimacy and will not show you really want to "build" of ideas to grow together with others, giving up, but certainly suffered a gesture of great responsibility, the role that you have / you are saddled with, it will be difficult for you gain credibility and respect that you think you deserve.
We encourage you to seriously consider the possibility of calling the office, leaving room for those who have created an estimated position and respected much more specific and difficulty to you, and maybe to stay however, pragmatically and for the avoidance of any doubt, in the forefront of the demanding task that engage the entire university and researchers in particular. Now that would really help to build something useful for everyone.
A cordial greeting from Mr. None, Alberto
