The FLC CGIL, from the beginning, he opposed all measures that the government has taken to undermine the autonomy, quality and the public face of the Italian university system. However, the definition of the new statutes is a step delicate and important matter that must be understood as an effective founding moment, able to revive the tools of self-governance of the university community and strengthen its democratic character. It 'just this, in our opinion, the challenge that gives us the dramatic context in which the universities are forced to revise their statutes to make this transition, contrary to the spirit of the law, an opportunity for renewal, and qualification democratic reform of the system. The movements of recent months, driven in particular by students and researchers but can involve all components of the university, have promoted alternative hypotheses for reform based on a participatory and democratic dimension of public degli Atenei. Fin dalla composizione delle commissioni "statuto", alle quali verrà demandato l'onere di definire i molteplici regolamenti di Ateneo previsti dalla Legge, crediamo sia indispensabile dare uno spazio adeguato a tutte le componenti universitarie, so that they are equally involved. With the same decision to continue with even greater force in the country and in the universities, the contrast to the measures of the government and the logic that it would impose a commitment to protecting and guaranteeing the public face of the university system, alongside all those who, researchers, students, temporary workers, teachers, contracted personnel, ordinary citizens have at heart the future.
We therefore consider it important to start now a discussion about our needs so that we can avoid unilateral decisions that would ultimately further stifling the democratic profile of the universities seriously compromised by an authoritarian and bureaucratic reform.
